Presenting Saraswati Vandana, Farmishi Chakradar, Pancha Vadya Gat and Krishna Kavitta.
Saraswati Vandana:-
Vandana meaning praying to the divine. Here we pray to goddess of knowledge, arts , speech, dances and instuments. We will begin our performance by invoking goddess Saraswati.
Farmaishi Chakradar:-
Farmishi literally means to demand. The farmaishi that we are performing is an arrangement of Matras in such a way that last syllable (dha) of first phrase of tihaai from first avartan lands on Sama. So does the (dha) of second phrase of tihaai from second avartan and eventually the concluding (dha) of last phrase of tihaai in third avartan of Chakradar lands on the Sam.
Pancha Vadya Gat:-
Pancha Vadya Gat means a composition, which imitates the notes of 5 instruments namely 'Damaru', 'Dholak', 'Nagara', 'Pakvaj' and ending with a Tihaai on 'Tabla'.
Krishna Kavitta:-
A small rhythmic poem set in certain 'taal' which describes lord Krishna's appearance with whole grace. As Lord Krishna is the pioneer of Kathak ,concluding with Krishna Kavitta.
